Kofi Nahaje Sarkodie-Mensah is a Ghanaian-American professional wrestler currently contracted to WWE, where he competes on the Raw franchise under the name Kofi Kingston ring. Kingston is the person with the most tag team championships in WWE history, at the age of 14, and the longest reigning both with his team and as an individual tag team champion in WWE social history. . After graduating from Boston College, he decided to pursue a career in professional wrestling and began performing in the New England Independence Tournament as a Jamaican wrestler named Kofi Nahaje Kingston. After signing a development agreement with WWE in 2006, he shortened his ring name to Kofi Kingston. Kingston launched WWE in 2008 using the same Jamaican character in the Independent Tour. At the end of 2009, he stopped paying from Jamaica and dropped his voice, although he kept his ring name. Then he started getting billed from his hometown, Ghana.
