FIXER TO FABULOUS star Jenny Marrs reflects on her twins’ birth as “a narrative only divinely orchestrated.”
“At twenty-nine weeks into my pregnancy with the twins, I unexpectedly entered pre-term labor. Following twelve hours of medical interventions aimed at preventing premature delivery, I was airlifted to Little Rock because our local hospital’s NICU lacked the resources to care for twenty-nine-week-old preemies at that time,” Jenny shared in a recent Instagram post.
Recounting the challenging situation, she explained that she and her husband, Dave, were confronted with “every worst-case scenario,” being informed that the twins would likely be born within the next 24 hours.
“In silence, we absorbed their words,” Jenny recalled.
“Huddled together on the hospital bed, we prayed, cried, and pleaded with God for another hour, allowing the boys more time to grow in utero. With each passing hour, we witnessed a series of small miracles.”
She continued,
“Four weeks after that harrowing helicopter journey through the Arkansas night sky, the boys made their entrance into the world—equally terrifying. Yet, for the subsequent four weeks, they were nurtured with profound love and compassion by the NICU staff at our local Mercy Hospital.”
“We will be eternally grateful to the dedicated nurses and doctors who tended to our boys during those tender early days. The narrative of being able to stand on a stage 13 years later and share their journey with a couple of thousand people is a testament to a story only divinely authored,” Jenny expressed.
She further emphasized that she and Dave are committed to advocating for the NICU nurses, mothers, and the babies under their care, pledging ongoing support for the invaluable work they do.

The pair is blessed with five children—12-year-old twins Nathan and Ben, 11-year-old Sylvie, 9-year-old Charlotte, and 4-year-old Luke.
Opening up about their journey to parenthood, Jenny shared with Better Homes and Gardens, “We made the decision to have kids, and it was a process. We faced challenges, as many people do. I, with my type A personality, accustomed to achieving so much in life, wondered, ‘Why can’t we just make it happen? Why isn’t it unfolding on our timeline?’ It was a valuable lesson—learning that we don’t have control over every situation.”
This quest for control also played a significant role in the couple’s adoption of Sylvie, a story detailed in Jenny’s latest book, “House + Love = Home.”
Detailing the challenges, Jenny wrote, “We encountered bureaucracy, red tape, and political hurdles. During the waiting period, I spent countless hours on our front porch swing, praying for Sylvie’s health and safety, anticipating the miracle that would eventually bring her into our lives.”
After enduring a 602-day wait, Sylvie finally found her home with the Marrs family.
