Frank was born in Pennsylvania, to Slovak emigrants, from Nagy-Ladna, Austria-Hungary, now Velka Lodina, Slovakia. János was the son of Gyorgy Mraz and Maria Lukács. Anna was the daughter of János Szedlák and Mária Valya.
Jason’s paternal grandmother was Mary Helen Tiller (the daughter of James Walker Tiller and Mary Martha Tyson). Jason’s grandmother Mary was born in North Carolina.
