Dora Bria is a Brazilian windsurfer who has been competing since the late 1970s. She is a two-time world champion and has won numerous national and international titles. She is considered one of the most successful windsurfers in the world. Bria was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and began windsurfing at the age of 12. She quickly rose to prominence in the sport, winning her first national title in 1977. She went on to win the world championship in 1981 and 1983, and was the first woman to win the world championship in windsurfing. Bria has also won numerous other titles, including the Pan American Games in 1987, the South American Championship in 1988, and the Brazilian National Championship in 1989. She has also been a member of the Brazilian Olympic team in 1984, 1988, and 1992. Bria is currently retired from competitive windsurfing, but she still remains active in the sport. She is a coach and mentor to many young windsurfers, and she is also a member of the International Windsurfing Association.

On January 22, 2008, Bria crashed her pick-up truck, on a rainy Tuesday evening, in Minas Gerais (southeastern Brazil), on her way to her native Rio de Janeiro.
Bria was known as a pioneer in Brazilian windsurfing. She won the national championship six times between 1990 and 1995. At the time of her death she held three South American championship titles.
