Christopher Carrabba is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Dashboard Confessional. He has also released solo albums under the name of Chris Carrabba. Carrabba was born in West Hartford, Connecticut, and grew up in Boca Raton, Florida. He attended Florida Atlantic University, where he studied music and philosophy. He began his music career in the early 1990s, playing in various local bands in Florida. In 2000, he released his first album with Dashboard Confessional, The Swiss Army Romance. The album was a critical and commercial success, and was followed by several more albums. Carrabba has also released several solo albums, including Covered in the Flood (2006), Twin Forks (2013), and Crooked Shadows (2018). He has also collaborated with other artists, including Ryan Adams, The All-American Rejects, and The Fray. Carrabba has won several awards, including a Billboard Music Award for Top Rock Album for The Swiss Army Romance in 2001. He has also been nominated for several Grammy Awards.
