Christopher "Chris" Hemsworth is an Australian actor. He rose to prominence playing Kim Hyde in the Australian television series Home and Away before beginning a film career in Hollywood. Hemsworth is best known for playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with Thor and appearing most recently in What If...?, which established him among the world's highest-paid actors. Hemsworth's other film roles include the action films Star Trek, Snow White and the Huntsman, Red Dawn, Blackhat, Men in Black: International, Extraction, the thriller A Perfect Getaway and the comedy Ghostbusters. His most critically acclaimed films include the comedy horror The Cabin in the Woods and the biographical sports film Rush in which he portrayed James Hunt.
